Running it back.
I just kicked over 40 years old on J1. I don’t want to get too wordy with a 40 year old’s state of mind. I just want to point out that David Peterman, seen in the above photo, at the age of 60, completely eviscerated me at the Canal Corridor 100 last October. Dave finished 11th overall in a time of 17:55:1, along with being the top finisher for the state of Ohio.
You can see results from the CC 100 in the article below.
David and I paced together for a 15 mile stretch towards the first turn around at mile 24, just south of Canal Fulton. When we reached the turn around, David was just a little bit ahead of me, I stopped, changed my shirt, got some food and that was it; David was gone. I never saw him again.
I kept running it back in my mind: at 39 years old, I got smoked by a 60 year old!!! Running it back, running it back……. over and over and over again. Well, I’m 40 now and I’m coming after you, David!!! Running it Back…. LET’s GO!!
But seriously, we should take time to be aware of the impact we have on each other. I enjoyed every stride taken with David, and am inspired by his effort, so much so that I’m taking up the challenge of the CC 100 again this fall and have already started some training.
I’m planning on dropping periodic posts of how my training is going over the spring just to keep everyone in the loop of what I’m up too.
I’ve added my personal training log to The Book of Panthers website, see below. You can check in on me there anytime you’d like. The training log gets updated daily; in other words, it is always changing.
Here is a direct link to my training log as well:

Hope you all are doing well.
Look out for articles going forward.
