Last week is going to be a hard one to top. There was a lot of great momentum built up starting with a hot but fun home meet on Tuesday followed by Carnival Ride Saturday that dished out some great performances. Light Expectations
We are heading to the Troy Twilight Invite this coming Saturday. After a great Week 14 we are starting to see some expectations emerge. Before I get to that I want to note that this weekends race is our first night race of the season, racing under the lights our #1 goal is to just have fun, this race is a reward. I feel we have moved ahead of where I thought we might be at this point. Our #2 goal is to still race hard, we have a week off of racing next week so we can bring some heat this weekend as well. The challenge will be to meet both of our goals.
Some expectations brought to you by milesplit. The girls are currently sitting in the #2 spot in the regional. The Boys are sitting #11 in the district. How this works, the Top 7 teams from Central District advance to Regionals and the top 5 teams from Regionals advance to the State meet. On paper this looks great for the girls and for the guys we have a fair amount of work to do. These are also just composites of best times, we all still have to run the races.
Let’s keep the momentum building under the lights at this weekends night race.
