The Book of Panthers is Back for 2023!
To all of our fanatic subscribers we are excited to announce we are coming back for a 2023 Cross Country Season. This season you can expect much of the same, weekly training plans, another 100 miler, and random spontaneous content as well. Just a quick recharge below with links to the best of the 2022 season……
2 Days in May….
Fairbanks Panthers CC got it together on May 23 & 25 for an old fashion open run, frisbee, and pop-sickles. Coaches laid out summer plans, goals and encouraged recruiting.
This summer the CC program will be hosting open runs on Tuesday and Thursday every week beginning June 13th. For more information email vanwinkle.emily629@gmail.com - subject: CC Summer Open Runs or check for information on Remind.
Nike XC Town Twilight 5k highlights 2023 race schedule……
Panthers plan to travel to Terra Haute, Indiana on Sept. 30 to race on the historic LaVern Gibson Championship XC course, site of Indiana High School State Championship and the Nike Cross Country Regionals. The CC team is raising money this summer to cover travel and room expenses.

300 Mile & 200 Mile Clubs set to run this Summer!!
The CC program is starting a new tradition with the 300 mile (HS), 200 mile (MS) summer running clubs. Participants set their goals to run a minimum of 300/200 miles from June 1 - August 31 this summer. All those who achieve the goal will be recognized at the FarmBanks Panthers XC Invitational on Sept. 5 during our Summer Awards & Senior Night Ceremony and receive a club t-shirt. CC athletes are raising funds to cover expenses of t-shirts, summer running awards and senior night gifts.
Warm Ups are on the way……
In an effort to improve team cohesion the Panthers are purchasing team warm ups for the season ahead. The CC athletes will be raising funds this summer to cover this purchase expense.
Fundraising
Team Goal for this season are to raise the following funds:
$750.00 - Mileage Club T-Shirts & Senior Night Expenses
$3,000.00 - Nike XC Town Twilight Invitational Travel Expenses
$4,000.00 - Team Warm Ups
$250.00 - End of Season Banquet
$8,000.00 - Total Fundraising Goal

The Book of Panthers is a newsletter that helps fund the Fairbanks Cross Country Program. Over the past year this newsletter has raised $554.00 for our program. If you are a free subscriber please consider becoming a paid subscriber to help support our fundraising goals and consider sharing our newsletter too. This is the easiest way to support our athletes.
SNAP Raise
Fairbanks CC Program will be launching a SNAP Raise Champaign in June and our goal is for all athletes to enter a minimum of 20 email addresses of potential supporters. These funds will be used to cover the expense of the team warm ups, which the athletes will be allowed to keep post season.
Cow Chip Bingo
The CC Program will be hosting our 2nd Annual “Cow Chip Bingo” at the FarmBanks Panthers XC Invitational on Sept. 5th. Below is a link to 2022 Cow Chip Bingo.
Youth Program
New this year, we are starting a youth club running program. This will be geared towards youth entering 3rd - 6th grade, and will be running the same nights, times and locations as the High School and Middle School teams this summer. The group is open to suggestions for game ideas, as well as additional volunteers to make this program successful for the future!
